About Felix
Meet Felix, an adorable Silver Dapple Dachshund who has a heart as big as his little 5.4 kg frame. Born on July 1st, 2024, Felix brings a unique blend of charming dachshund features and a gentle soul that's bound to touch your heart. Though initially anxious and wary, Felix is a blossoming spirit who warms up quickly with a bit of love and patience. He becomes comfortable and eventually approaches people once he's had the chance to settle in.
Felix is used to a social environment and has formed a beautiful bond with his best friend, Phoebe. The two dachshunds have the best time playing together at the shelter, and while it would be wonderful to see them find a home together, it's not an absolute necessity. Felix would definitely benefit from having another small canine companion in the family, which would help build his confidence. Though currently unsure about walking on a lead, he occasionally responds to encouragement—making him a work in progress with loads of potential.
Felix could be a wonderful fit for someone willing to give him time, patience, and understanding. Whether he begins the next chapter of his life with Phoebe or another patient canine buddy, this little dachshund is sure to reward a loving home with affection, playfulness, and joy once he feels secure.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
