About Sophie
This little lady was found wandering at night in a satellite town. After a stint at the pound, she booked her ticket and made the big journey to start her new life.
She was listed as JRT x ACT but maybe we see a little beagle in her face. More importantly than her breed is knowing that she is the sweetest girl with the waggiest tail which rarely stops. She is still quite young, maybe 6 months and currently weighing in at 13.5kg. We don’t know anything about her past but if she thinks she is in trouble she does cower a little so Sophie needs an understanding owner to take things slow and teach her all about the world.
She has been respectful of the resident cat and has also been around a small child and was the best girl.
Toilet training is still in progress but with gentle encouragement she will get there in no time.
Toys have proved to be a firm favourite, and Sophie has decided that she loves the hose so hopefully there is some water playtime is in her future
Sophie is learning leash walking but being a new experience, she does like to sniff every blade of grass when out walking. As with all our dogs, we do recommend training to make her the best girl and make her more fabulous than she already is (if that is at all possible!)
We really can’t say enough great things about this beautiful, happy girl.
Medical notes

Adoption details
At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
