Odie

Chunky Monkey (okay, maybe his real name Odie is fancier, but Chunky Monkey fits) is an senior English Staffy with a big heart, a bigger personality, and a slightly larger-than-average love for snack ... and life in general. Don't let his extra fluff fool you, this boy is still super active for his age and will happily join you in everything you do. Couch time? Count him in. Beach run? He's already digging his paws into the sand. Walks? He'll practically drag you to the door (with a wagging tail, of course).

Chunky Monkey LOVES people. He wants to be in the middle of your life, so if you're the type to binge-watch TV alone, forget it. This boy wants a front-row seat. He's also a toy enthusiast ... and a toy hoarder. Don't ask for your tennis ball back, he's running a one-dog toy bank, and all withdrawals are at his discretion.

Odie is suited to go to a home of secondary school aged children or adults. Any children will need to be present for the meet and greet before he goes home. He also wouldn't mind sharing his new family with anothe canine companion pending a meet and greet here at the shelter first.

A few things you should know:

He can jump like a kangaroo on espresso, so short fences are a no-go.

He gets anxious if left alone or isolated, this isn't a lone ranger kind of dog.

Birds can eat off his plate with his blessing, because he's just that generous.

Odie is the perfect mix of goofy, loving, and energetic. He's a Staffy with style, soul, and a serious case of "I want ALL the attention." If you're ready for cuddles, zoomies, toy negotiations, and endless beach days, Chunky Monkey might just be your new best friend.
