About Bear
🐻 🌞🐻NSW/ACT: MEET BEAR - OUR SWEET, PLAYFUL VELCRO BOY LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL HOME 🐻 🌞🐻
Bear is a 5‑year‑old bundle of love who was surrendered into our care due to his chronic skin condition. And through his journey with us, this big teddy bear has shown nothing but sweetness, resilience, and classic pug snuggle charm.
He’s a true velcro boy, playful, loyal, and happiest when he’s right by your side. He loves his dinner, is incredibly food‑motivated and therefore easy to train. He adores slightly older kids and would thrive with an easy‑going female dog companion to share his life with.
Bear is mostly toilet trained, and we're confident that is something that will continue to improve with routine and patience.
🐾 BEAR'S ONGOING CARE NEEDS
Bear is a special boy who needs a family committed to his long‑term health. He has:
• Dry eye, requiring ongoing Tacrolimus
• A sensitive skin condition, while it is now controlled, he does require to be on a strict, consistent diet, and have regular medicated baths to keep his skin comfortable.
His care is lifelong, but he is worth every bit of effort. Bear is a loving, joyful little soul who gives back tenfold.
🏡 BEAR WOULD THRIVE WITH:
Bear would thrive in a calm, stable home with slightly older children and a gentle female dog companion. He would love someone who is home more often than not, a family committed to his ongoing medical and dietary needs, and plenty of love, patience, and cuddles.
Bear may need a little extra support, but for the right family, he will be an endlessly rewarding companion - loyal, funny, affectionate, and full of heart.
