My name is Merri — a gentle, loving young mum who came into foster care around Christmas and has been the sweetest little soul ever since. I have a calm presence, a soft heart, and so much love to give to the people who earn my trust.

Nature
I have a beautiful, gentle nature and truly adore humans. I enjoy sitting back and observing everything around me, quietly taking in the world. When things calm down, I’ll happily come over for pats and affection — and once I do, you’ll see just how loving and affectionate I really am. I don’t demand attention, but I treasure it deeply. Feeling safe and settled is my biggest need right now, and once I feel secure, my sweet, affectionate personality shines through beautifully.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I’m fine with other cats, but I do need slow and gentle introductions, as my life before foster care was a little unstable and scary. I’ve also been introduced to the resident dog and, again, slow introductions help me feel safe and comfortable. I live with a busy toddler and manage this very well — when things get too noisy, I simply find a quiet space to relax until I’m ready to rejoin.

My PURR-fect home would be one where my humans understand that I may need a little extra reassurance while I settle in. A calm, loving environment where I’m made to feel special will allow me to flourish into the affectionate, confident cat I’m meant to be. I would suit most home environments and am simply waiting for my people to come forward and give me the chance to show them just how beautiful I truly am.

If you would like to apply to adopt Merri, please come and meet her at Petbarn Canning Vale this Saturday from 10am until 2pm. She will be ready to go home with the first suitable family.
