About Emily
Emily is a 7-month-old kitten with the softest eyes and the gentlest soul. She's the kind of kitten who makes you slow down, lower your voice, and feel an instant urge to protect her.
Likely born on the streets, Emily learned early that the world can be a frightening place. Because of that, she can be easily scared and may retreat at first, but behind that timid exterior is a truly sweet, delicate little girl who wants to trust. She's quietly learning, day by day, that not every hand hurts, that kind voices exist, and that safety is possible.
Emily doesn't ask for much. She isn't bold or demanding. What she longs for is a calm, patient home - a sanctuary where she can finally exhale. A quiet household with someone who understands that love doesn't have to be rushed would be perfect for her. Someone who will sit nearby, let her set the pace, and celebrate the small wins: the first time she stays in the room, the first gentle purr, the first time she chooses to come closer on her own.
This is a kitten who will grow with you. As her confidence builds, so will her bond with the person who gave her that chance. The trust she gives won't be instant, but it will be deep, meaningful, and incredibly rewarding.
Emily doesn't need saving because she's broken. She needs saving because she's gentle in a world that hasn't always been kind. If you're looking for a kitten whose love will be earned slowly and treasured forever, Emily is waiting for you.
Emily is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Emily - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
