About Rizzy
🌸 Meet Rizzy – A Little Lady With a Big Personality! 🌸
Rizzy is a beautiful 5 year and 5 month Maltese x
This little lady weighs 6.2kg
Rizzy has come into care as a retired ex-breeding girl — and she is ready to start her real life filled with love, comfort, and a bit of fun mischief.
Don’t let her angelic face fool you… Rizzy is a playful little character with a cheeky streak that will steal your heart in no time. While she adores cuddles, quiet couch time, and snuggling up on the bed, she also has surprise bursts of energy where she shows off her famous Kung Fu Panda moves or her hilarious praying mantis bedtime pose (yes, it’s as cute as it sounds!).
🏡 Home Life & Habits
Rizzy is fully toilet trained, confidently uses a doggy door, and believes very firmly that crates are not for refined ladies like herself. Human beds at night, couches and soft dog beds during the day — preferably while supervising her foster mum working from home — are very much her style.
⚡ Energy & Voice
She’s a wonderful balance of calm and playful. Rizzy happily matches her environment, but will occasionally surprise you with zoomies or spontaneous kung-fu performances. She’s generally quiet, though she does enjoy the occasional little “chat” — usually to ask why you’re home late or gently remind you it’s dinner time — always with a wagging tail and cheeky grin.
🐾 Social Life
Rizzy is happy living with other small, calm dogs and enjoys zoomies or snuggles with friends who match her gentle nature. Puppies or overly boisterous dogs aren’t her thing — she’ll simply excuse herself and find a quieter spot. She can be an only dog, but would also love a relaxed small-breed companion to be her couch-snuggle or kung-fu buddy.
She’s not a fan of small children but is perfectly comfortable with teenagers, especially if they’re happy to share their bed or spoil her with attention.
🚶♀️ Out & About
Rizzy enjoys leisurely walks of around 30 minutes but prefers calm surroundings and isn’t keen on big dogs approaching her.
💖 Personality & Quirks
Rizzy has a fantastic appetite, loves treats, toys, and being praised, and thrives on human companionship without showing separation anxiety. Her joyful play, silly poses, and expressive little dances are guaranteed to make you laugh and melt your heart daily.
🦷✨ Glow-Up Complete!
Rizzy has had the full VIP treatment thanks to the rescue — she’s now desexed etc, has enjoyed a sparkly dental with a scale & polish, and even said goodbye to two teeth that were ready to retire. She’s feeling great, flashing her freshly cleaned smile, and is 100% ready to strut into her forever home
✨ Grooming
Regular grooming keeps Rizzy’s soft coat looking her best — something she’s very proud of. She enjoys gentle brushing and loves looking every bit the polished little lady she is.
🌷 The Perfect Match
Rizzy would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy gentle play, cozy snuggles, and the occasional dance-off. She’s an easy, affectionate companion who brings warmth, laughter, and endless charm wherever she goes.
If you’re ready for a small dog with a huge personality and a heart full of love, Rizzy is ready to meet you 💕🐶

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.

Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.

INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
