Blossom, Clover, Meadow & Fern need a foster carer
About Blossom, Clover, Meadow & Fern
Meet Blossom, Clover, Meadow & Fern 🌿
Blossom, Clover, Meadow and Fern are four female button quails, approximately 6 months old, who are looking for a calm, loving forever home.
These sweet girls were previously used as breeders. Because of this, they have some feather regrowth on their heads, which is common in female button quails that have lived with males. Now that they are safely housed without males, their feathers are already growing back well and will continue to improve with proper care and a low-stress environment.
They are very gentle, quiet, and sweet-natured, though still quite shy. With patience and a peaceful setup, they will continue to gain confidence and settle into their new home.
About Button Quails
Button quails are the smallest species of quail and are delicate, ground-dwelling birds. They thrive in environments that provide plenty of hiding places, nesting materials, and opportunities to forage and dust-bathe. Button quails are sensitive to stress and do best in calm, predictable environments.
They are not suited to being kept permanently outdoors and are best housed indoors, with carefully supervised outdoor time for enrichment.
Ideal Home & Care Requirements
Blossom, Clover, Meadow and Fern are looking for a home where they will:
• Be kept indoors, with supervised outdoor time only
• Be fed a high-quality quail or game bird pellet, with fresh fruit and vegetables daily
• Have constant access to sand baths
• Be provided with nesting materials, hiding places, and enrichment
• Live in a quiet, safe environment
🚫 They cannot be housed with males
In Summary
These gentle girls deserve a peaceful life after a demanding start. They would suit someone who enjoys caring for small birds and providing a thoughtful, enriched environment.
If you can offer a calm, indoor home and the care button quails need, Blossom, Clover, Meadow and Fern will make wonderfully sweet little companions
Medical notes
Blossom, Clover, Meadow and Fern have received parasite prevention, have been vet checked, and are in good overall health. Their ongoing feather regrowth is purely cosmetic and expected to continue improving in a safe, stress-free environment.
Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and allows us to determine whether an animal is suited to your home and family and vice versa.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted via the Pet Rescue Website. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. We have a 2 week trial period to allow the animal to settle into your home and ensure the animal and you are happy. During this time, the animal can be returned to Forget Me Not Rescue for a full refund of the adoption fee.
All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
