Cheddar is a wonderful mix of an independent explorer and a total sweetheart. He is a brave little guy who loves to roam the house, discovering new nooks and crannies, but he’ll always find his way back to you for some love.
-Social & Brave: Cheddar is great with kids and isn't bothered by loud noises or fast movements. He's a confident boy who is always "on the go."
-Morning Cuddler: He loves to start the day right! You can expect Cheddar to seek you out for affection every morning.
-Playtime Professional: He can turn anything into a game, though he has a special weakness for sparkly toys and zooming through tunnels.
-Affection Style: If you want to get on his good side, he’s a huge fan of belly rubs and chin scratches!
🏠The Ideal Home
Cheddar has a lot of love to give, but he needs a specific environment to stay happy and stimulated.
The "Buddy System": Cheddar must go to a home with another kitten or a young, playful cat. He is constantly looking for his siblings to play with and wouldn't be happy as a solo pet.
Stimulating Environment: He needs plenty of toys and a family willing to engage in his playtime adventures.
Favourite Hangout: A cat tree is a must for this explorer! It’s his favourite spot to survey his "kingdom."
Cheddar is a confident, affectionate, and playful little guy who is just waiting for the right family to join. If you have a cat at home looking for a best friend, Cheddar is your man!

Adoption details
Our adoption process is as follows:
1. Submit an adoption application via our website at www.rescuecatsofmelbourne.com.au/adopt
2. We will be in touch with you within 48 hours if we wish to progress your application.
3. A meet and greet will then be organised so that you can meet your potential new family member!
4. Upon a successful meet and greet, an adoption day will be set for you to come and collect your new family member and sign all required paperwork
All of our cats come de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated, worm treated and with a clean bill of health.
Our 10-Day Health Guarantee: We want you to feel confident in your new family member’s health. We offer a 10-day cooling-off period specifically for health-related concerns. If your kitten shows signs of a pre-existing illness (such as a respiratory infection or parasite) within the first 10 days of arriving home, please contact us immediately. During this window, you have the option to return the kitten for a full refund or work with our rescue team to ensure the kitten receives the necessary care. We are committed to transparency and the wellbeing of our cats.
