About Beatrice STA014369
Meet Beatrice, a beautiful senior lady with a heart full of love. Her soulful eyes and gentle demeanor make her the perfect companion for anyone seeking a devoted feline companion. Beatrice has an affectionate nature and enjoys being close to her people. While she might have reached her golden years, her playful spirit still shines bright, making her both a delightful playmate and a serene companion.
Beatrice is particularly well-suited to a home where her human can be around much of the day, making her an ideal companion for someone who works from home or is retired. At night, Beatrice will happily snuggle as close as possible.
This beautiful senior lady has her preferences – she’s not one for being picked up, preferring her feet to remain on solid ground. However, she excels at expressing herself, especially when it's mealtime. Beatrice dislikes loud noises, so a peaceful home without children or canines is her ideal sanctuary.
From her Foster Home -
She loves to be close to you but once you touch her she might leave. 50/50 chance. She’s a lovely cat and very affectionate. Follows you around the house eventually wherever you rest. Hops up the bed to sleep next to your face. Very vocal when asking for food. An early riser (like 6am) and will be very active and vocal around that time. Poos regularly in the middle of the night. Does not like to be brushed, she grooms herself a lot. Scared of vacuums and hops up somewhere or runs away to avoid it. Scared of random noises. Loves company and poops more on the floor (in retaliation) when we’re out more. Can jump up to knee level, pretty good for an old cat but maybe a stepping stool would help. If you lock her in a room overnight she will scream at 6am to be let free for food. If not she’s pretty quiet. She loves her food.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
