🐾 Meet Louie — The Gentle Moose🐾

Say hello to Louie! This handsome boy is still growing into himself, complete with puppy teeth and that adorable, awkward puppy charm. With his sleek Kelpie-style body, striking black and tan markings, white chest, big nose, and slightly droopy mouth, Louie has a look that’s impossible to resist.

Louie earned his nickname “Moose” thanks to his soft, moose-like nose and his gentle, goofy nature. He’s a smart cookie who absolutely thrives on pats, attention, and learning new things. He already knows sit and stay, walks beautifully on the lead, and is working on his recall — which is improving quickly now that he’s realised coming back means extra cuddles and praise.

Louie is an all-round wonderful puppy. He’s great in the car, enjoys bath time (especially the towel-dry pats afterward!), and even loves swimming at the beach. Around the home, he’s mostly well behaved. He may have the occasional accident, but he does well when left with access to outside. His mischief is minimal — usually just carrying sticks around for a chew — though, like all puppies, he still benefits from supervision and ongoing training.

He plays beautifully with the dogs in his foster home and settles well at night, sleeping soundly in his own bed. You may even catch him letting out an impressive little snore. Louie does have a big, loud bark, so he’d suit a home that doesn’t mind a vocal pup finding his voice.

Sweet-natured, intelligent, and full of personality, Louie is ready to find a loving home with someone who will love his quirks, nurture his training, and give him the affection he so happily returns.

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
