About Koda
Meet Koda, an independent and thoughtful male Maremma who delights in the serenity of life at an unhurried pace. At four years old, Koda embodies the essence of his breed with his naturally cautious demeanor, taking his time to assess new environments before diving into them wholeheartedly. With a steady gaze and a calm disposition, he observes the world around him, preferring to make careful decisions and engage at his own speed.
Occasionally, you'll catch Koda romping around with the joyful burst of energy known as the zoomies, a playful testament to his lively spirit. When it comes to affection, he's all about quality over quantity, leaning in for cuddles or giving a friendly hug when the moment feels right. While he enjoys companionship, Koda values respect for his personal space and thrives on gentle connection rather than constant attention. His steady approach to life means he's not overly driven by food, but he does enjoy discovering new and interesting things.
Koda's alert nature makes him a reliable companion, often signaling any mysterious happenings in the vicinity with a bark. While he is generally quite content, he does appreciate reassurance in unfamiliar situations. Koda gets along well with other dogs and cats, making him a versatile addition to homes with existing pets, assuming introductions are handled thoughtfully and calmly.
An ideal home for Koda would be one that offers patience and understanding, especially from someone familiar with guardian breeds. He thrives in an environment where his nature is respected, and trust is fostered at his comfortable pace. In exchange, Koda will reward you with unwavering loyalty, gentle companionship, and affection when the timing is just right.
If you're seeking a companion who embodies intelligence, independence, and a generous heart, Koda might just be the perfect fit for your family. With a microchip and an adoption fee of $600, he is ready to find a loving home equipped to nurture his unique qualities and build a beautiful bond.

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
