About Chance
*Looking for a Foster-to-Adopt home
Chance is a truly special boy who is now ready to find his forever home. He is an extremely intelligent, thoughtful dog who forms deep bonds with his people and thrives when he feels secure and understood. Chance will suit an experienced dog owner who has a solid understanding of canine behaviour and is confident navigating ongoing training and management with patience and consistency. He prefers a home where his humans are around regularly, as he does experience separation anxiety, however he has made wonderful progress with us. Chance has been working hard on crate training and is doing amazingly well being left alone in his crate for short periods of time, especially when given a peanut butter Kong to enjoy. This is something his future family will need to continue building on at his pace.
Chance is best suited to a home with pet-savvy children aged 15 years and older who can respect his space and boundaries. He is open to living with another dog and may benefit from a respectful, neutral and confident canine companion who can help show him the ropes and provide calm guidance. A secure backyard with six-foot fencing is essential to keep him safe and feeling settled.
In the home, Chance is affectionate, loyal and full of personality. He absolutely loves his people and enjoys nothing more than quality time, tasty food, cozy naps and plenty of cuddles. He is clever, eager to engage, and takes great joy in learning and enrichment activities. With the right home that offers structure, understanding and continued support, Chance has so much love to give and will make an incredibly rewarding companion for the right family.
