About Gracie
Meet Gracie, a gentle soul with a tender heart and a desire for friendship. Gracie is a Spaniel mix, likely combined with Cavalier, and was born around July 9, 2024. She weighs in at 12.2 kg, making her a perfect medium-sized companion for those who want a loving lap dog with just enough weight for warm, comforting snuggles.
Gracie's journey through life so far has shaped her into a dog who needs a little extra time and patience but promises endless loyalty and love in return. She thrives best in a quiet household where she can slowly develop trust with her new family. While she may be extremely shy and anxious at first, given time and gentle handling, Gracie will show her true sweet nature and desire for companionship.
Though Gracie isn't accustomed to walking on a lead or responding to recall commands just yet, with a patient and understanding owner, she's bound to make progress. Her initial anxiety when approached is a hurdle she can surely overcome with your help, as she naturally relaxes after spending quality time outside with someone she trusts.
Gracie is searching for someone who respects her pace and is eager to invest time in forming a deep, unbreakable bond with her. If you have the patience and gentleness required to help Gracie feel safe and cherished, you'll discover an affectionate friend who deeply values your companionship.
Medical notes
Gracie had a dental scale and clean - no extractions.
She has a grade 3/6 heart murmur, currently no clinical signs of heart failure - Monitor.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
