About Moxie
Moxie is a female Domestic Short Hair cat available for adoption in Abbotsford (Sydney, NSW).
Moxie is a friendly, affectionate cat who loves being close to her people and becoming part of everyday life. Curious and people-focused, she enjoys following her guardian from room to room and settling nearby while the day unfolds.
She thrives in homes where companionship is part of the routine and where she can share plenty of quiet moments with her favourite humans.
A little about Moxie:
🐾 Affectionate, people-oriented companion
🐾 Enjoys cuddles and staying close to her guardian
🐾 Playful in short bursts with predictable routines
🐾 Suits adults or older children
🐾 May enjoy living with another friendly cat
With the people she trusts, Moxie is wonderfully expressive in her affection. She happily asks for pats, curls up beside you (or sometimes on you), and loves settling in for cosy naps together.
At night she often sleeps close to her guardian, sometimes tucked between your legs, purring contentedly.
When she’s feeling especially affectionate, Moxie will gaze up at you with slow blinks and gently reach out a little paw as if to ask for just one more pat.
She occasionally returns the favour too, offering small grooming licks or soft smooches that many people find incredibly endearing.
Moxie enjoys playtime in short bursts and appreciates a predictable rhythm to her day. A quick play session before breakfast, another before dinner, and a final one before bedtime keeps her happy and engaged.
In between, she’s perfectly content relaxing in sunny spots or watching birds and possums from her favourite window.
Her toy mouse and a few tasty treats are always welcome highlights.
Moxie would flourish in a home that balances calm routines with regular companionship.
She would suit adults or households with older children, as very young children or loud environments may feel overwhelming.
Moxie is accustomed to indoor-only living, where she feels safe and secure.
She has previously lived with another cat and, with thoughtful introductions, could potentially share her home with a friendly feline companion.
Life with Moxie often feels warm and companionable.
Mornings might begin with a cheerful greeting and a quick play session before breakfast.
Afternoons may find her stretched out in a sunny spot or quietly keeping you company as you move through your day.
Evenings often end with Moxie curled close by, purring contentedly as everyone settles in for the night.
For someone looking for a loyal little sidekick who loves affection and companionship, Moxie could become a very special part of everyday life.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
