About Chilli
Introducing Chilli!
Chilli is a dapple Mini Dachshund x born approx 1st March 2025.
Chilli was brought into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray & for unknown reasons, no one came looking for her.
Since being at the facility Chilli has really let her cheeky personality shine. She's incredibly playful & loves destroying plush toys. We've noticed that she always likes her humans to play with her and she will go on a zoomie run, then come sprinting back to your lap for a quick wiggly pet before continuing on her zoomie travels.
Chilli is very affectionate and loves to give kisses & cuddles. She would absolutely love to be a lap dog and wouldn't cope being an outdoor dog only.
Chilli is your typical "spirited" Dachshund in that she's quite vocal when she feels you're not giving her enough attention. She is also quite vocal when other animals walk past, so she would be a great guard/alert dog.
Unfortunately Chilli didn't test well with other dogs. She was tested with both male & female as well as large & small. She did have some meet and greets with other smaller dogs as well, dachshunds and the like and was not keen on any of them, so we are going to say she needs to be the only dog in the household.
Chilli seemed somewhat unfazed by our facility cat, however the cat was hiding at the time of testing. Given her reaction to other dogs & pocket pets, we are recommending a home with no cats.
Chilli showed quite a lot of interest in our resident rooster, so we are recommending a home with no pocket pets.
Chilli has shown no signs of food aggression or separation anxiety since being at the facility.
Chilli's adoption fee is $1350 and includes her desexing & lifetime registration.
Chilli is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.
