About Hughey
Introducing Hughey, a charming feline companion with a personality as endearing as it is unique. Hughey, with his regal demeanour and sweet nature, is looking for a tranquil home where he can shine as the beloved lap cat that he truly is. His gentle paw taps on your leg or arm are his adorable ways of asking for attention and displaying his affectionate side.
Though Hughey adores attention, he can be a bit temperamental when overstimulated, giving a light warning bite if he's had too much petting. As such, an experienced cat owner who can read the signs will be the best match for him. Hughey appreciates a calm and understanding household that allows him to feel secure. Being the only pet in the household tends to bring out his best side, allowing him his much-loved one-on-one interaction without added stress.
Hughey isn't the biggest fan of grooming and prefers his fur to stay a little wild, even if his sides appear a bit ruffled. His unique style is all about convenience over appearances!
Hughey may benefit from anxiety medication to help ease into a new home (this can be provided) initially. His ideal setup is where he can bask in the spotlight solo. If you have a quiet home and embrace a cat's companionship, Hughey will be the most loyal lap warmer you could wish for. Ready to welcome Hughey into your heart?

Medical notes
Hughey is on a special CKD diet due to kidney disease (bloods came back pretty good and vets say mild/early stage).
Hughey had a stress induced urinary tract infection and as result was peeing outside the litter box. This behaviour was resolved once his UTI was treated. Therefore, this issue is not behavioural but rather a medical one that is now resolved - the stress likely as a result of being in a multi-cat foster home.
