About Stuart and Piper
*In foster care in Alexandria, Sydney*
Stuart and Piper are the sweetest bonded brother and sister - you’ll rarely see one without the other! Piper has a deep, gentle protectiveness over Stuart that’s beautiful to watch, and together they keep themselves endlessly entertained with playful roughhousing before settling in for long cuddle sessions.
Both are confident, curious kittens who love exploring their environment. Tall scratching posts and sunny window views are a must, as they like to be right in the middle of everything! When it comes to affection, they're serious snugglers and will happily fall asleep on you the moment you sit down.
Piper (white and calico) is the quieter of the two - sweet-natured, patient and observant. With Stuart by her side, her silly and confident side shines through, revealing a calm, beautiful demeanour and a penchant for simply being near her people!
Stuart, on the other hand, is pure confidence :) Even his walk has swagger! He’s boisterous, endlessly affectionate, and a constant purr machine with plenty to say - there’s never a dull moment. Deafness doesn’t slow him down (the vacuum is no threat), though he does prefer to stay close to his humans or his sister, where he feels most at ease, as being isolated tends to stress him out.
Chalk and cheese in personality, Stuart and Piper complement each other perfectly and truly thrive as a pair!
Like all Maggie's pets, Stuart and Piper are microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

OUR IDEAL HOME: ... will have plenty of enrichment in the form of toys, towers and interesting window outlooks, and loads of space for us to explore and run around!
We both have delicate pink-and-white features, and Stuart is also deaf, so for our safety we're looking for an indoors-only home.
Because we adore human company so much, a household where there's at least one person home most of the time would also be amazing - especially if you work remotely! We enjoy taking turns to sleep on our foster carer's computer desk, or sometimes squish in together :)
OUR ENERGY LEVEL: Typical medium-high kitten energy - but we also LOVE a snooze! We're big siesta buddies.
OUR SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: We're a fun-loving, adventurous and gentle duo, so we'd make a wonderful addition to a family home, especially one that offers plenty of interaction and play! But please note - while we're affectionate in our own ways, neither of us likes being picked up, so kids who can respect our boundaries would be best.
OUR SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Hard to say for dogs (we've not met any of those), but being so confident and well-adjusted, we probably wouldn't mind other cats after proper introductions. If we're to be your only furry housemates though, we'd be purrfectly fine with that!
Medical notes
Stuart is deaf, and both cats have pale features that are susceptible to sunburn and skin cancer, so both cats will need to be indoors-only. They might enjoy access to a secure outdoor enclosure in the shade.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
