About Nightshade
Meet Nightshade - Your Future Adventure Buddy!
Nightshade is a 3-year-old Staffy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He's a fun-loving boy who enjoys being part of everything you do and will bring plenty of joy and laughter to your life.
He's affectionate and loves spending time with his people. Nightshade is still mastering his manners, so he's looking for a family who can guide him with consistency and encouragement. With a little structure and positive reinforcement, he'll shine and become the loyal best friend you've been dreaming of!
Whilst Nightshade is dog-social, he can sometimes greet his canine friends with a little too much enthusiasm! He'll benefit from slow introductions, gentle guidance, and support as he learns to become a well-mannered playmate.
For now, Nightshade is looking for a family who'd love him as their only canine companion, while also being open to managed playdates to help him practice his skills.
He's best suited to an active household with older, dog-savvy kids who can appreciate his playful nature and help him succeed.
If you're ready for a loving companion who will fill your days with fun and adventure, Nightshade is waiting to meet you!
To book a meet and greet with Nightshade please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au .
Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.
Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
