Meet Townie 🐾

Townie is a happy little tripod with a big heart and an even bigger love for his humans. He’s the kind of dog who likes to be involved in whatever you’re doing — close by, checking in, interacting, and quietly working his way into your heart. Once he’s chosen you, you’ve got yourself a loyal companion for life.

He gets along well with other dogs, but would really prefer to be the only dog at home where he can soak up all the attention and affection. Townie knows his manners — he sits and waits politely for food, walks (or hops along!) nicely on lead, and is an absolute champion passenger who loves car rides.

As a tripod, Townie will benefit from continued, gentle exercise to help build strength in his remaining rear leg, and he’s already well on his way. He’s also double coated, so regular grooming is required to keep him comfortable and looking his best.

Townie is proof that three legs is more than enough for a full, joyful life. He’s cheerful, devoted, and ready to be someone’s constant little shadow and best mate. 💙

I CAN FLY TO PERTH!

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.

4 THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING:

1. Time Commitment: Owning a dog is a big responsibility and requires a significant commitment of time and energy. Be sure to consider how much time you can realistically dedicate to caring for a dog and make sure you are prepared to make that commitment.

2. Cost: Owning a dog can be expensive. Make sure to consider the cost of food, medical care, toys, and other supplies. You may also want to think about enrolling your dog in obedience classes or hiring a professional dog walker.

3. Space: Depending on the breed, some dogs require a lot of space. Make sure you have enough room in your home and yard to accommodate a dog before making the decision to adopt.

4. Lifestyle: Think about your current lifestyle and how a dog may fit into it. Consider if you have any restrictions such as travel, work hours, or allergies. Also, think about how owning a dog may affect your social life.

NOTES:
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchipping and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age.

*Puppies may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee.
