Meet Perry — All Ears, Legs, and Heart!

Looking for his long‑overdue happily‑ever‑after; Perry has been in NQAR’s care far longer than we ever expected — and honestly, we can’t understand why. This sweet, goofy, affectionate boy is the full package. He’s grown up so much in recent weeks, settling beautifully into routine, learning new skills, and showing us every day just how ready he is for a family of his own.

Perry is exactly what his foster carers describe: all ears, legs and heart. He adores humans, loves other dogs, and has a curious, eager‑to‑please nature. He’s fully house‑trained, has excellent manners inside the home, and is happiest snuggled up as close to his people as he’s allowed.

He’s also perfectly content spending time on his own if his family needs to duck out for something dreadful like work… or a movie. He’ll simply snooze, wait patiently, and greet you with full‑body wiggles when you return. He can have very big, excited feelings when you get home and may need a reminder that jumping up on you to say hello is not the preferred greeting, but he’ll quickly calm down.

Perry is an active dog by breed and by spirit. He thrives when he’s able to get out, stretch those long legs, and explore the world. He loves his daily walks and trots along beautifully on a halti. Dog park days are his absolute favourite — running, playing, and socialising with his doggy friends brings out his happiest self.
He’s a fast learner with a big desire to please, and he’s already mastered so much. With a family who will continue his training and keep his clever brain busy, he will absolutely shine.

Perry has a few simple requests for his new family:
- Car rides — he loves them
- Games of tug — mandatory
- Continued training — he’s smart and loves to learn
- Plenty of exercise and enrichment — he’s an active boy
- A family who will adore him as much as he adores them

Perry would suit an active household, ideally with another friendly dog or humans who are home often enough to enjoy his company. He’s social, affectionate, and wonderfully goofy — the kind of dog who makes every day a little brighter.
