Perry is a bright, bouncy Kelpie cross puppy who looks like a Kelpie — and absolutely acts like one too! This young fella is full of enthusiasm, curiosity, and that classic working-dog sparkle.

Perry is a true “boy’s boy”: playful, confident, and always ready for a game. He loves kids, adores other dogs, and thrives on rough-and-tumble play, toys, and anything that turns into an adventure. His play style is enthusiastic and physical, so he’s best suited to homes with confident, playful dogs who enjoy that kind of interaction. Smaller, shy, or less tolerant dogs don’t always love his big puppy energy — not because Perry is unkind, but because he plays with his whole heart.

As you’d expect from a Kelpie cross, Perry has a natural instinct to herd his people and can be a little nippy when he’s excited. He’s only just starting his training journey, but he’s highly food-motivated and keen to learn, making him a great candidate for continued training and enrichment.

Perry is good with kids, dog friendly, and cat friendliness is untested. House training is currently in progress. He’s expected to grow into a medium-sized, high-energy adult, so he’ll do best with an active family who can provide structure, exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.

He would thrive in a home with a playful, well-mannered older dog who can help guide him, or with humans who are committed to teaching him how to channel his energy into positive outlets.

Perry is $400 + $100 desex bond* to adopt and comes microchipped, C5 vaccinated, and given flea/tick/worm prevention.

*Desex bond will be refunded once pup is desexed at one of our nominated vets at the appropriate age. It is a non-negotiable condition of adoption that pups are desexed prior to 8 months of age, unless otherwise approved by NQAR. The cost of desexing is included in the adoption fee, as long as it is done at one of our nominated vets.
