Maisy is a sensitive soul who needs an extra special home filled with patience, understanding, and kindness. It's clear that somewhere along her journey, the world taught her to be cautious, and new people- especially unfamiliar men-can feel very overwhelming for her. Maisy is very much a girl's girl, finding comfort and safety more easily with women.

Though she's unsure of new faces at first, Maisy has a beautiful heart waiting beneath her fear. Once she learns she can trust you, you become her whole world. She'll greet her chosen person with a full-body wiggle, offer up the rarest and most joyful zoomies, and look at you with the softest, most gentle eyes you've ever seen.

The way to Maisy's heart is through her stomach-she adores treats and finds comfort in quiet, positive moments shared over snacks and praise. With time, consistency, and a trusted person by her side, Maisy is sure to blossom into the dog she was always meant to be. She just needs someone willing to hold her paw and show her that the world doesn't have to be such a scary place.

Maisy is looking for a quiet, adults-only home where she can be the only dog. With time and gentle, positive introductions, she may gain confidence around calm dogs, but she needs adult adopters who can read her cues and support her at her own pace.

Maisy is currently on behaviour medication to help manage her fear of unfamiliar people, and this will be a lifelong commitment. In the right home (one that moves at her pace and celebrates even the smallest wins) Maisy will reward her person with a bond that is deep, loyal, and truly special.
