About Rumi
Rumi is a spunky tabby girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for people. From the moment you meet her, it’s clear that humans are one of her favourite things in the world. She thrives on attention, affection, and being right by your side, soaking up every cuddle she can get.
This gorgeous girl is playful, confident, and full of fun. Rumi loves engaging with toys, chasing, pouncing, and showing off her lively spirit, then happily settling in for quality cuddle time once playtime is over. She has a beautiful balance of energy and affection, making her a wonderful companion for someone who wants a cat that’s truly involved in their day-to-day life.
Rumi would do best in a home with a friendly, social cat companion. She enjoys having a feline buddy around and would thrive in a household where she can share playtime, company, and cozy moments with another cat while still soaking up plenty of love from her humans.
She’s looking for a home where she’s treated as part of the family and included in all the cozy moments — whether that’s lounging on the couch, supervising daily activities, or curling up nearby for a well-earned nap.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
