About Joyce
Joyce is a beautiful shy black girl with a gentle heart and a quiet, observant nature. She may not be the first to rush up for attention, preferring instead to watch the world from a safe distance while she works out that everything is okay. But don’t let her reserved start fool you, once she feels secure, Joyce reveals a playful side that’s full of life and joy.
When she’s feeling brave, Joyce loves to zoom around the house, darting from room to room in little bursts of happiness that show just how much fun she has when she feels safe. These moments are a glimpse into the confident cat she’s growing into, and they’re incredibly rewarding to witness.
Joyce is searching for a calm, understanding home that will give her the time and space she needs to come out of her shell. A quiet environment with a dedicated safe place to retreat to will help her build confidence, and a friendly feline companion is a must. Having another cat around gives Joyce comfort and reassurance, helping her learn that the world isn’t so scary after all.
With patience, gentle encouragement, and plenty of love, Joyce will slowly form a deep bond with her people. Watching her blossom into her own unique personality will be a truly special journey for the right family. Joyce may start off shy, but in the right home, she has all the potential to become a confident, happy, and much-loved companion.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.
We appreciate your understanding.

Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
Thank you for helping us give these kittens the loving, social homes they deserve!
