About Bucky - 1 Year Old German Shepherd X
Meet Bucky, a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix who truly is the goodest boy. He has settled beautifully into foster care and is a very well-behaved young dog who is currently learning his basic commands.
Bucky is friendly with other dogs. While he’s not overly playful just yet, he enjoys a few polite sniffs and calmly hanging out with canine friends. He would be happy as an only dog or with a calm dog companion.
Bucky is fantastic with kids! Due to his size, we recommend a home with children aged 5 years and over.
One of Bucky’s greatest loves is napping—he’s a pretty chilled-out boy overall. That said, enrichment and daily exercise will be important in his forever home, as he’s a smart breed who will thrive with mental stimulation, enrichment and training. Bucky enjoys going on at least one walk per day 🦮.
At night, Bucky sleeps inside, either curled up on his bed on the floor or snuggled up on his foster carer’s bed 💤. He has no separation anxiety, is happy spending time on his own, and is not a barker. He does love being around his people and must be allowed inside when his family is home.
When it comes to treats, Bucky is a big fan of cheese and Christmas ham ✅🧀🍖. Veggies are a firm no so far ❌🥕🥒🍅 he did get chicken nuggets after his first vet visit, which he absolutely loved!
Bucky has not been tested with cats or pocket pets
He is in foster care in Elermore Vale, NSW, and is available for adoption within NSW and ACT (no flights). His adoption fee is $500, and he will be desexed (in second week of January), vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and intestinal worms, and microchipped.
