About Sadie
🌸 MEET SADIE — a tiny, tender Toy Poodle with the gentlest heart 🌸
Sadie is a 7 year and 2 month old Toy Poodle weighing just 3.3kg, and she is the definition of soft, quiet, and delicate. She is a little soul who is only just learning what it feels like to be safe, cherished, and loved — and she is soaking it in one gentle moment at a time.
After spending her early years as a breeding dog, Sadie has now had all her vet work completed, including a full dental, and for the very first time, life is about her. No expectations. No pressure. Just comfort, kindness, and learning that humans can be gentle and good.
She is sweet to her core — shy, calm, and deeply sensitive — and when she feels safe, her personality slowly blooms in the most beautiful, heart-melting way.
💛 Personality — Soft, Quiet & Full of Gentle Love
Sadie is a serene little lady who finds happiness in the simplest things: her fluffy dog bed, a cosy spot on the couch, or quietly watching her people go about their day. She doesn’t ask for much — just to be nearby, included, and allowed to exist peacefully in your space.
She can be timid when meeting new people, but with patience, soft voices, and time, she comes around beautifully. When she does, she shows her love in the gentlest ways — leaning in, offering tiny nudges, and melting completely for chest scratches, her absolute favourite thing.
Sadie is not a barker and rarely makes a sound. Sometimes she looks a little serious, but behind those eyes is the sweetest heart, simply waiting for someone to love her gently and consistently.
🏡 Home Life
• Toilet trained
• Uses a doggy door (may need help learning a new one)
• Not crate trained
• Very quiet and settled
• Sleeps happily in her dog bed or on the couch
• Loves being close, without being overwhelmed
• Thrives in calm, predictable routines
Sadie would suit a peaceful home where life moves slowly and kindly. She is best with children over 10 who understand how to be gentle and respectful with a shy dog.
🐾 With Other Pets
Sadie gets along with dogs of all sizes but prefers calm, gentle companions. Bouncy, high-energy dogs can overwhelm her tender nature. She would be equally happy as an only dog or with a quiet, independent canine friend.
Given her sweet disposition, she would likely be fine with cats. She has no interest in small animals like birds.
✂️ Grooming
Being a Toy Poodle, Sadie will need regular grooming and coat care. She is a dream at the groomers.
🚶♀️ Out & About
Sadie isn’t ready for walks just yet — being on lead makes her freeze, and the world feels a bit big for her.
But carry her in your arms or pop her into a pram, and she absolutely loves it. She enjoys watching the world go by while feeling safe and snug, making her the perfect little pram companion.
Her home is her haven, and that’s where her heart feels most at peace.
✨ Why Sadie Is So Special
Sadie isn’t a dog who rushes love.
She doesn’t leap into your arms or demand affection.
She’s the kind of dog who chooses you quietly… carefully… and completely.
Her love is soft and steady — the kind that grows deeper every day as she realises she is finally safe and finally home.
If you have a calm household, a gentle heart, and the patience to let Sadie bloom at her own pace, she will give you a bond that is pure, tender, and incredibly special.
🌸 Sadie is ready for a home where she can feel safe, adored, and loved for exactly who she is. 🌸

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
