About Simba
Meet Simba!
If you’re looking for a quiet companion who will literally never leave your side, we’d love for you to meet Simba.
Simba is a senior Lilac Point Tonkinese who has had a bit of a rough trot lately. She spent her whole life with one owner until they had to move into aged care, and the transition was really hard on her. She actually got quite sick from the stress back in June, but she is a little fighter and has made an amazing recovery. These days, she’s bright, alert, and looking for a very specific kind of retirement home.
The first thing you’ll notice about Simba isn't her beautiful fur colours, but her voice. She doesn't really meow; she "caws" like a friendly little crow. She uses it to check in with you or to let you know she’s ready for more attention.
She is, without exaggeration, the gentlest cat we’ve ever met. You can pick her up for a big hug anytime and she just melts into you. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and has never once offered to scratch. If you work from home, consider your lap occupied. She will happily snooze there for nearly your entire 9-to-5, and then follow you to bed to sleep. She just wants to be where you are.
Because she’s a senior lady, she does come with a few "vintage" features:
• A gummy smile: Simba recently had most of her teeth removed. She’s healed well and can handle some dry food, but definitely prefers wet food.
• A gentle heart: She has a mild heart murmur and a bit of a lingering cough every few days. The vet has checked her lungs and they’re clear; it’s just something we monitor to keep her stress levels low.
• The only baby: Simba has decided she’s done with other pets. She needs a home where she can be a solo dame, so she can keep her stress levels down and her heart healthy.
Every now and then, she’ll surprise you by wanting to play with a wand toy, but mostly she’s just looking for a peaceful lap and a person to call her own again.
If you have a quiet home and a lot of love to give a senior girl who truly deserves a soft place to land, please get in touch.
