About Chleo
Note: This dog is currently being cared for in a home and when adopted, it will free up a spot to help another dog.
Chleo is a beautiful blend of affectionate and independent. She adores pats and cuddle sessions with her humans, but she is equally content curling up on her own bed for some quiet alone time. She has a gentle, thoughtful nature and prefers to take things at her own pace.
When out and about, Chleo is polite and calm around other dogs, happily maintaining her distance as she passes by. If another dog comes too close, she can become unsure and may stiffen or try to move away, so she would benefit from continued positive socialisation before living with another dog.
Her days start with the perfect morning routine, a cuddle and play session followed by breakfast. While her humans are at work, Chleo keeps herself busy with food puzzles, which she really enjoys. When everyone returns home, she greets them with the most adorable happy hops and chirpy howls and is clearly ready for her next adventure.
Do not let her size fool you, Ms Chleo loves the outdoors. She enjoys long sniffy walks on the lead, which she walks beautifully on, followed by a joyful run around in a fenced area. Afterward, she is more than happy to climb into your lap and spend the evening relaxing and watching TV.
In her foster home, Chleo lives primarily indoors but has the freedom to go in and out as she pleases. She prefers being close to her people, sleeps indoors, and is a calm, settled sleeper. She loves rolling over for belly rubs and is affectionate all over, soaking up pats wherever she can get them.
Chleo has been great meeting strangers, is not overly interested in toys, and is very food motivated. She loves all treats, but cheese is her absolute favourite. She mostly toilets outside and, with a little consistency, has great potential to be fully toilet trained.
Above all, Chleo is a happy, sweet girl with a gentle soul. She may need a little time to warm up, but once she does, she blossoms into the most loving companion, complete with her signature happy howls and joyful hops when excitement takes over.
