About Lulu
Lulu is a 3 year and 7 month old Miniature Poodle weighing 6.3kg, and she is ready to find her forever home.
Lulu came into care after being injured by another dog and the rescue stepped in to help with her treatment and recovery, we are very happy to report she has recovered beautifully and with no lasting injuries.
Despite her past, Lulu has the sweetest, gentlest nature and is learning how lovely family life can be.
Lulu is toilet trained and has used a doggy door in the past. She’s currently in a home without one and happily pops in and out when the door is left open.
Crates aren’t her thing — small spaces make her feel a little worried — so she prefers having the freedom to choose her own comfy spots.
She’s not a high-energy dog and doesn’t need walks to be happy. Instead, Lulu shows her excitement in the cutest way — with little hops, bounces, and joyful twirls when she’s feeling good.
She loves exploring the yard and would adore a home with a secure space where she can bounce around until her heart is content.
She’s usually very quiet, but when her favourite human comes home, she may greet them with a tiny bark and a happy little dance.
Lulu likes affection on her own terms. She isn’t a cuddly, clingy dog, but once she’s comfortable, she’ll happily accept a chin scratch and curl up on the couch near you.
Lulu is not interested in kids and would suit a home without children, but she gets along beautifully with other dogs of all sizes.
Lulu will need a doggy friend in her new home — ideally a calm, confident dog who can show her the ropes and be a playmate. She enjoys playing but is still learning how to start games, so a friendly dog who enjoys gentle fun would be perfect. (picture a lot of bouncing and some wrestling).
The couch is Lulu’s absolute favourite place in the world. Once she’s settled, she also enjoys sleeping on the bed (usually at the bottom) or on a dog bed in the bedroom.
Lulu’s not a fan of walks just yet, but she loves car rides and is happiest riding along in a dog seat, having a good look out the window.
Lulu is motivated by treats once she feels safe and settled. She doesn’t need her humans home all day, as long as she has another dog for company.
As a poodle, she’ll need regular grooming, and with a kind and patient groomer, she’s an absolute star.
Lulu is a gentle, bouncy little girl who wants to be part of the family without being smothered.
Give her time, kindness, and a comfy couch, and she’ll reward you with sweet moments, happy hops, and the joy of watching her confidence grow.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
