About Charlie
Are you looking for a little buddy who's full of personality and ready to charm your socks off? Say hello to Charlie, a 2-year-old male Fox Terrier mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality!
This adorable guy loves to strut his stuff and show off his lively spirit. He's a really nice little dude who's just waiting for the right human to give him all the love he deserves.
Things to know about Charlie:
Charlie can sometimes be a bit wary of strangers, gentle patience is key. Small dogs are frequently loomed over by humans & other dogs which can create some anxiety in them. Once he feels safe, he's an absolute sweetheart!
Charlie is not a fan of big dogs but has lived peacefully with another small female dog. She gave him lots of confidence. So, a calm, respectful furry friend or a solo pet sibling might be best for him. Little dogs often behave & sound like they're ready to take on the world. More often than not, this behaviour is triggered by fear. Once we understand what our dogs are truly feeling & why, we can help them cope with challenging situations & emotions.
Charlie has experienced a lot of confusion & change recently. He needs a little time to decompress and feel secure in a loving, stable environment. With patience, he'll blossom into a loyal companion!

What Charlie needs to thrive:
A secure fenced yard for safe romps
Daily walks to burn off energy and explore
Lots of love, patience, and understanding
A calm, loving home where he can feel safe and loved. It is a non-negotiable that he lives indoors with his people!
Small dogs like Charlie can be wonderful companions-they are often lively, affectionate, and full of personality! Just remember, they can be more sensitive and may need a little extra gentle handling and patience as they adjust to new environments.

Enquiries sent through PetRescue will NOT be answered. Please follow the process below
1) Please note the name of the animal you're interested in
2) Visit the RSPCA Queensland adoption site at www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt
3) Search for the animal either by type or location
4) View the animal's profile, and click the link to submit an application
5) RSPCA staff will contact you to inform you about the outcome of your application and to talk through the next steps if your application is successful!
