Hi, I'm Anchovi, and I like to think of myself as the sweetest and happiest older gentleman you could meet. I'm nine years old, and while I may be a little older, I still have plenty of life left in me and a big heart ready to share. I love gentle walks, cozy spots to snooze, and most of all, spending time with my humans. I might take a little time to feel comfortable with new people, but once I do, I'm full of affection, loyalty, and joy.

I recently lost my home through no fault of my own when my previous family had to move somewhere that didn't allow dogs. Despite that, my spirit hasn't changed-I'm still friendly, cheerful, and ready to make a new family fall in love with me. I'm still learning some things, like lead manners, so I'd thrive in a home that can be patient and guide me with gentle training and encouragement.

I may enjoy having another calm, well-mannered dog around, but it would depend on a meet and greet to make sure we're a good match. I'd do best in a home with secondary school-aged kids or older who can respect my space and enjoy my gentle company.
