About Candy
Candy is a sweet, sensitive Jack Russell Terrier looking for a calm, understanding home. She's a food-motivated little girl who enjoys gentle interaction on her own terms and will do best with someone patient and experienced who understands she is a project dog.
Candy can feel unsure with handling and busy environments, so she needs a quiet, adult-only home with clear routines and kind, force-free training. She prefers being the only dog, isn't interested in toys, and enjoys walks with gentle guidance. With time, structure, and confidence-building support, Candy has the potential to settle well and enjoy life at her own pace.
Candy would suit someone home full or part time, with a secure yard and a willingness to work with a qualified force-free trainer. For the right person ready to invest in her journey, Candy can be a truly rewarding companion.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
