Lainey

Lainey is an absolute gem of a dog who is quietly struggling in the shelter environment, and that's why we are so keen to see her get out and into a home where she can truly shine.

What she wants most in life is beautifully simple: head scratches, tasty treats, and being close to her favourite humans. She thrives on connection and affection, and when she feels safe, her sweet, gentle nature really comes through. This is a dog who lives for love and gives it back tenfold.

Walks are one of her happy places, and with treats firmly ranking as a top-tier motivator, ongoing training will be a joy rather than a chore. She's eager, food-motivated, and ready to learn .. proof that you absolutely can teach an old dog new tricks.

Lainey would love to be the only dog in the home, as she prefers not to share her space with other canine companions. A calmer household would suit her best, ideally with older children (secondary school age or above) who can respect her need for space and routine.

New people and unfamiliar environments can be a little overwhelming at first, so she appreciates being given time to settle in and trust. Take things at her pace, add a few extra treats, and you'll quickly find yourself promoted to her inner circle.

Because shelter life has been tough on her, Lainey's adoption fee has been reduced - not because she's any less amazing, but because we want to remove barriers and help her get into a home as soon as possible. That means more money in your pocket for treats, training, comfy beds, and all the things that will help set her up for success.

This beautiful girl has so much love waiting to be shared. She just needs someone to believe in her and give her the chance she deserves.
