"People of Perth! Have you been searching high and low for the purrfect kitty? That gentle-natured, fun loving, good with kids, placid and sweet little ball of fluff? Well, look no further, friends, you have found her.."
Nature
Yep, itās true. āBest kitty in the worldāāthatās what the award says. Or at least thatās what my Foster Mama told me it said. I havenāt seen it yet; itās apparently still printing.
Anyway, for those who havenāt met me yet, my name is Rae. I was named after the beautiful sunset rays shining down on us on the journey to my first foster home. My Foster Mama said they were as beautiful as I was, and just like that, I had my very own name.
I was found scared, alone, and full of milk after recently having kittens. Sadly, despite looking extensively for them, my babies were never found. For a few days, I was the saddest little girl. But with time and love, I realized I was safe and slowly started to let my guard down.
Fast forward to today, and my pawrents tell me Iām ready to meet my new familyāso here goesā¦
Iām a shy little lady at first, but once I get to know you, my gentle and affectionate purrsonality really starts to shine through. Iāve only been in care for a few days, and already my pawrents are head over heels in love with me. Theyāre so besotted, in fact, that they talk about āfoster failingā me every hour of the day! They say Iām the most precious little soul and would make a purrfect addition to any family.
Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
Iāve never lived with kids before, but with my exceptionally placid and beautiful nature, my pawrents are confident Iād do wonderfully with rugrats of any age or size.
Whilst I am a HUGE fan of my hoomans, Iām somewhat of a question mark when it comes to my four-legged furriends. Very little is known about my past, but I currently live with a number of other kitties and, for the most part, we get along just fine. At first, I was very cautious and would hiss if any kitties got too close. But the longer Iāve been here, and the more relaxed I feel, the calmer and happier I am with everyone. Yay me!
Itās not known if Iāve met dogs before, but if my new family has one, they will need to be gentle, cat-friendly, and respect my boundaries while I settle into my new home. With slow and controlled introductions, Iām sure weāll eventually become the best of friends.
Likes / Dislikes
Iām a tiny tot with a BIG heart, and thereās not much in this world that I donāt love. If I had to pick a favourite thing, it would probably be playing. I would play all day, every dayāif eating, sleeping, and pooping didnāt get in the way!
Other things I love include head pats, ear scratches, exploring the world, and having endless amounts of fun! I also enjoy flicking my kitty litter around to make it look like itās snowing. My Foster Mama doesnāt appreciate my artistic style quite as much, but she says itās easily fixed with a large, deep litter tray
The only thing Iām not a big fan of is other animals invading my space. Iāll give them a gentle tap and a hiss to let them know Iām not happy, but I never choose violenceāIām far too much of a delicate princess for that kind of nonsense.
My PURR-fect home would be one filled with lots of love, fun, and adventure! A home with plenty of friends for me to play with during the day and snuggle up to at bedtime. The most important thing is finding a family who truly appreciates just how special and brilliant I amāand who will love me for the rest of my life.
Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.
