Moon is a cheeky young boy with a playful spirit who loves climbing onto your shoulders for attention. He's curious, fun-loving, and full of personality once he feels safe.
Like many sensitive cats, Moon can be easily overwhelmed in new environments. He may be timid at first, but with a little patience he warms up quickly and doesn't take long to come out of his shell and show his silly, affectionate side. To help him settle, Moon will need to start in a small, quiet area with access to hard-to-reach spots blocked off and any potential escape holes secured. Once he's comfortable, he can gradually be introduced to the rest of the home, as large open spaces can initially feel overwhelming.
Moon will thrive in a home that provides plenty of enrichment and safe spaces, including scratch posts, cat trees, cardboard boxes or igloos, and access to shelves or dressers so he can choose both high and low resting spots.
He would suit a patient, understanding adopter who can read cat body language and give him space when needed. Teens or older children who understand how to interact respectfully with cats would be a good fit.
