Meet House! As in “built like a … house”.

House is 6.9 kg of hefty meow, massive paws, and an absolutely enormous head. A glorious boof of a cat. He came into care in rough shape – severely matted and riddled with grass seeds that caused painful wounds to his feet, skin and ears. After vet care, rest, and a lot of TLC, House has healed beautifully. His fur is still growing back from an unfortunate but necessary haircut, but even mid-regrowth he’s undeniably handsome – and heading straight for peak fluff.

He’s chatty in the most ridiculous way, offering up loud, dramatic “mreowehs” to narrate his day, demand food, request pats, or simply announce his presence. House is smooshy, affectionate, and very people-focused. He loves food, loves attention, and loves being included in daily life. Despite his size, he’s gentle and has been lovely with a kindergartener, happily soaking up pats and interaction.

House has made one thing very clear - he does not enjoy sharing his space with other cats and would much prefer to be your one and only feline roommate. Dogs haven’t been tested yet but are probably a no. House is happiest with the humans in his life and would likely prefer a home without other pets, so he can enjoy all the love, cuddles, and attention just for himself. Having spent most of his life on the streets, House may occasionally try to bolt out the door to recapture a bit of his wild youth, so careful supervision is a must to keep this glorious boof safe.

House has a grade 2 heart murmur, assessed by his vet. He is currently healthy and requires no treatment.

House's adoption fee is $75 which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and initial F3 vaccination.
