About Skylar - Cat
Skylar is a sweet and affectionate young cat with a gentle, independent nature. She enjoys being near her people and will happily keep you company around the home, while still being content doing her own thing.
She has a playful side and loves chasing toys, watching insects and birds from the balcony, and entertaining herself with little “hunts” around the house. Skylar is curious and observant, and she enjoys a calm environment where she can explore and relax.
While she isn’t overly demanding for attention, she does enjoy companionship and likes having her humans nearby. She would suit a home where she can be part of the household and receive plenty of love and interaction.
This sweet girl has shown herself to be somewhat wary of other adult cats, but very fond of young kittens, and takes on a mothering role with them.
Skylar will need a true cat lover who can tolerate her idiosyncratic bathroom quirk of defecating on the tile floor just outside the litter box. (She does use the litter box for urination.) Although her foster carer continues to work on correcting this, Skylar is resistant to training with it so far and it may well be that it is just part of who she is. Anyone who takes her on must be unfazed by this and able to take it in their stride without waiting and hoping for her to change. She is very much loved by her foster carer exactly as she is and her new owner must be able to love and accept her in the same way.

Adoption details
Animals are desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and on heartworm prevention / and also FIV tested for cats where possible. They are not available for adoption outside NSW (except ACT). Please email adoptpar@gmail.com if you would like further information.
Dogs and cats are rehomed on two weeks trial to ensure that both the person adopting them and the rescuer are satisfied that the dog / cat / animal is happy and adapting well to their new home and this can be extended on request
Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
