Sammy

Meet Sammy, a tiny tortie with a very big personality and an even bigger heart. Sammy came into Little Paws as a petite, heavily pregnant girl and promptly surprised everyone by delivering eight teeny kittens. Despite her small size, she was an absolute superstar mum - patient, devoted, and completely unfazed by the chaos of raising a large family (with just a little help from her foster carer). Now that her babies are grown and independent, it is finally Sammy’s turn to be the centre of someone’s universe… and she is more than ready for that promotion.

Sammy is the definition of a lovable little shadow. Wherever you go, she is right behind you, silently supervising your every move like the tiny tortoiseshell overlord she is. You won’t notice at first- but then you will realise you haven’t been alone all day and honestly? You wouldn’t want it any other way.

Those huge, expressive eyes miss nothing. Sammy loves watching the world go by from a window, keeping tabs on birds, leaves, neighbours, and anything else that dares move. And when she’s not on lookout duty, she’s making sure you haven’t forgotten to give her pats, because pats are serious business. She will happily follow you from room to room to ensure she receives an appropriate amount of affection (and then request more, just in case).

Despite her dainty size, Sammy’s purr is enormous. You will hear it before you see her and sometimes all it takes is a glance in her direction to switch it on. She is also quite the conversationalist: if you’ve been out during the day, expect a full recap of household events upon your return. Wake from a nap and find yourself missing? She will chirp her way around the house until you’re located or you call back, whichever happens first.

At night, Sammy transforms into the perfect sleep companion. She loves snoozing at the end of the bed, settling in so quietly you barely notice her arrive or leave. Once she is comfy, she hardly moves - just a soft, warm presence reminding you that you are very much loved. Sammy is sweet, attentive, affectionate, and endlessly devoted.

If you are looking for a gentle, chatty, shadow-like tortie who wants nothing more than to adore you for the rest of her life, Sammy is the cat for you.

All Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens come to you vet checked, desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated, and litter trained. As we are a rescue group, the adoption fee is not negotiable. Little Paws Kitten Rescue cats and kittens are indoor or cat enclosure only and must go to homes that intend them to stay that way. This is for their safety, the health of the cat or kitten and for the environment. It is our foster carer’s choice as to which home a cat or kitten goes to. We match the cats and kittens to the adoptee; we do not necessarily “sell” to the first caller. As our foster carers are all volunteers raising the cats and kittens in their own home, we would appreciate you letting them know if you cannot make an appointment.
