Pretty little Scroggin is a very playful kitten. Her favourite games include ping pong balls, the laser light and bits of string, but she'll make a game of just about anything. Fingers to swat and chase under the bedsheet are a treat. Scroggin is fine with being picked up, but she's too wiggly and busy just yet for lots of cuddles. Now pats and belly rubs are more her thing, and they result in a delightful purr.
Scroggin likes to sleep on the bed - or nearby. She is happiest when around people, but isn't always sitting on your lap. She loves to plays with her siblings and has been introduced to an older cat, but has not met any dogs.
Adorable Scroggin is a happy-go-lucky girl looking for new adventures in her new family.
* If you already have pets in your home, a slow and gradual introduction is a must, to ensure your pets and your new kitten have the best chance at a successful integration
MEDICAL NOTES
Adoption fee includes vet check, first vaccination*, flea and worm treatment, microchip including the transfer of ownership, and sterilisation at a SAFE approved vet at 6 months of age (see list below).
Please note: Scroggin was previously treated for ringworm while in foster care. Ringworm is a common fungal skin condition seen in young animals and is not caused by worms. It is treatable and, in many cases, resolves with appropriate care and time.
To the best of SAFE’s knowledge, the skin lesions on Scroggin have resolved and the condition appears to have cleared. As an added precaution, SAFE requires a veterinary examination of cats treated for ringworm prior to adoption to confirm there are no active signs of ringworm before they leave care.
As with many skin conditions in young animals, there is a small possibility of recurrence, particularly during times of stress or if the immune system is compromised. Adopters should monitor their cat’s skin and coat and seek veterinary advice if any new hair loss, scaly patches, or skin changes are noticed. Ongoing veterinary care after adoption is the responsibility of the adopter.
*Kittens may require further vaccination(s) to complete the full vaccination course. This will be at the cost of the new owner and is not included in the adoption fee. Please enquire for more information.
