Cinnamon

Cinnamon has had a lot of change in a very short time, and right now, this sweet young girl could really use somewhere safe to land.

We already know there's a very different Cinnamon outside of the shelter. In her previous home, she was described as friendly with people and even got along well with the other resident cat. Unfortunately, a medical emergency brought Cinnamon back into our care, where she needed surgery, followed by recovery and another big change in her surroundings. After everything she's been through, it's understandable that shelter life has left her feeling overwhelmed.

Even here, little pieces of the Cinnamon we know are starting to peek through. She'll cautiously come forward to investigate, enjoy a tasty treat and even have a little play with a toy. She has allowed gentle pats too, although she's still figuring out whether she feels completely comfortable with them. At only ten months old, Cinnamon has so much ahead of her, and we'd love to see her back in a home where she can decompress, rebuild her confidence and simply enjoy being a young cat again.

Cinnamon has a history of eating things that aren't food, which previously resulted in an intestinal blockage requiring surgery. Her new family will need to be mindful about keeping tempting objects such as hair ties, string and small pieces of plastic safely out of reach. A little extra cat-proofing will be an important part of keeping this curious girl safe in the future.

Cinnamon doesn't need someone to judge her by how frightened she feels in the shelter. She needs patient people willing to give her the chance to show them the friendly girl she has already proven she can be in a home.
