About Nutmeg (with Toffee)
Meet Nutmeg & Toffee!
Nutmeg and Toffee are an adorable bonded pair looking for a loving home together. We suspect they may be mother and daughter, and their connection is truly heartwarming. Nutmeg is very attached to Toffee, and Toffee has taken on the role of caring for her—whether it’s eating, drinking, or even using the litter together. Nutmeg often kneads and suckles on Toffee for comfort, and Toffee patiently lets her.
About Their Personalities:
Nutmeg is full of energy! She’s curious, loves people, and wants to be involved in everything. She’s playful and thrives on interaction, sometimes needing reminders to eat because she’s too busy having fun.
Toffee is gentle and affectionate. She enjoys playtime but also loves quiet company and relaxing moments. She’s confident but takes a little time to warm up to new people—unlike Nutmeg, who loves everyone instantly!
Both girls adore interactive play like fishing rod toys and prefer that over balls. They sleep peacefully next to their foster family at night and love attention and human interaction. They’re gentle, friendly with kids, and have shown no signs of biting or scratching. Their foster carer was even able to trim their nails on day one!

Please do not apply to adopt via our animals' PetRescue profile.
Follow the links below to be directed to the Wollongong City Council website, and find your preferred animal's online profile.
Once in the online profile, scroll down and click the link to complete an adoption application. Once received, a member of our team will be in touch to discuss your application and suitability for your preferred animal.
If we deem the animal to be suitable for your home and lifestyle, an in-person meet and greet may be organised. Should your meet and greet be a success, you can take your new furry friend home that day or following their desexing surgery. Our team will manage all your animal's paperwork, including ownership and vaccination documentation.
