Hi... I'm Lucky.

I guess my name fits, even if it hasn't always felt that way. I waited a long, long time for someone to choose me. When they finally did, I thought that was it - I was home. But sometimes things don't work out, and through no fault of my own, I found myself back where I started, waiting again. I'm still hopeful though. I have to be. That's kind of my thing.

I'm a big, handsome boy with an even bigger heart. I love people - like, really love them. Being around my humans is my favourite thing in the world. If you're looking for a shadow, a best friend, a couch companion, and a walking buddy all rolled into one, I'm your guy. I bond deeply, and I feel safest when my people are close by. When I'm left alone too long, I can get a little worried, so a home where someone is around most of the time would make me feel secure. I'm working on building my confidence and learning that being by myself isn't so scary.

I'm clever too. I already know how to sit, drop, shake, and wait - and I'd love to keep learning. Training time means treats, and treats are very important to me. I absolutely adore my food. Because I love it so much, I prefer to enjoy my meals in peace without anyone too close to my bowl. It's nothing personal - I just like a bit of space when I'm dining.

I can be a bit boisterous and sometimes forget just how big and strong I am, so I'd do best in a home with adults or kids 12 and up who understand that I'm still working on my manners. With the right guidance and continued training, I know I can be the very best version of myself.

I'd also really love to be your one and only pet. I thrive on attention and would be happiest soaking up all your love without having to share it with other dogs, cats, or critters. In return, I promise to give you my whole heart.

I've got plenty of energy and would be over the moon to join an active family who enjoys walks and adventures. After a good outing, I'm more than happy to relax by your side and just be near you.

All I really want is a forever home - not just for a little while, but for good this time. Someone who sees me, understands me, and chooses me for life. I've been waiting patiently. Maybe my luck is about to change again.
