About Maggie
Meet Maggie, a petite Poodle mix with a sensitive soul and a heart of gold. Weighing in at just 6kg, Maggie was born on December 30th, 2024, and she is ready to begin an incredible journey of companionship with her new family. With her gentle, beautiful nature, Maggie is a delightful yet timid spirit who is willing to flourish in a nurturing environment filled with consistency, patience, and love.
Maggie's personality is endearing; while she initially displays uncertainty and hyper-vigilance, she quickly warms up to both people and other animals with the right reassurance and encouragement. When she reaches that level of comfort, Maggie reveals her affectionate side, basking in the joy of cuddles and attention. In her own time, she will come out of her shell, gaining the confidence to share her loyalty and love.
In terms of her surroundings, Maggie would greatly benefit from a calm and understanding home. Lead training will be a rewarding bonding experience, helping her gain confidence. She is good with other dogs and, while she didn't seem bothered by the shelter's resident cat, gradual introductions to new animal companions would be best.
Overall, Maggie needs a little patience and a lot of love. It won’t be long before her rambunctious energy and affectionate soul will win your heart.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
