About Lucy
Meet our puglificent Pug, Lucy!
Aside from the fortune she is costing us in vet work (like almost all brachycephalic breeds), Lucy is the pawfect dog.
Lucy loves everyone she meets and is fantastic with other dogs, cats and even caged birds!
If you are on the couch, Lucy is beside you, as close as she can get. If there are treats on offer, she does her very best to take them gently, despite her love of all things food! Lucy also loves to play with toys (or steal them so the other dogs can’t have them) so a multi toy household is high on Lucy’s list of requests.
Lucy has had all of her standard vet work done, including a dental, but she is going back to the vet to have her airway surgery on Monday 5th of January. She has hardly any nostril openings and a long soft palate which, combined with her very flat face, means that it is a miracle that she can breathe at all!
Lucy will need a home familiar with brachy breeds. She will need air conditioning in the summer and short walks so that she doesn’t become overheated. Despite how her photos look, she is a small dog, even for a pug, weighing under 4.5kg.
Although Lucy is not technically available just yet, we are opening expressions of interest now so that we can have her new family ready and waiting for her.
