Alfie and Delilah are a devoted bonded pair looking for a loving forever home together. They were recently returned through no fault of their own, as their adopter needed to relocate overseas. Now, they’re hoping for a stable, committed family to give them the security they truly deserve.

These two are affectionate, loyal companions who form very strong bonds with their people. They thrive on human connection and love being included in daily life — whether that’s relaxing on the lounge, pottering around the house with you, or enjoying gentle neighbourhood walks.

They are toilet trained and confidently use a doggie door. They do need to live indoors and be part of the family, as they can become unsettled if left outside alone for long periods. A home where someone is around most of the time would help them feel safe and secure.

Personality & Individual Traits

Alfie is the smaller of the two. He can be shy when first meeting new people, but with a little patience he warms up beautifully and becomes a devoted little shadow. He is sensitive to storms and benefits from reassurance during bad weather.

Delilah is the bigger girl with a bright, enthusiastic personality. She gets very excited at the start of walks and may take a few minutes to settle into a calmer pace.

Both dogs:
• Are affectionate, gentle, and playful
• Enjoy toys and relaxed walks
• Can be vocal when they see other dogs
• Would be best suited as the only dogs in the home
• May take a little time to adjust to a new environment
• Dog Savvy kids only, 8+

They have had limited socialisation in the past, so they can feel unsure around unfamiliar dogs and may bark in those situations. With calm guidance and a predictable routine, they settle well and are loving, rewarding companions.

Alfie and Delilah would suit a patient, understanding home — ideally a quieter household — where they can continue to build confidence and feel secure. In the right environment, they will reward their family with deep loyalty, companionship, and plenty of sweet moments.

They are in foster care in Lake Macquarie, NSW and available for adoption to NSW. Their adoption fee is $900 and they are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas, ticks and worms.
