About Archie
Archie is a shy, sensitive boy who will do best in a calm, patient home. He must begin in a small launch room and be given time to settle before exploring the rest of the house, as large open spaces can feel overwhelming for him. Providing plenty of safe spaces is important, including scratch posts, cat trees, cardboard boxes, cat igloos, and access to shelves or dressers so he has both high and low places to feel secure.
Archie may be timid at first and will need an understanding adopter who allows him to settle in at his own pace before his true personality shines through. Play therapy, indoor enrichment, and vertical spaces will help provide an appropriate outlet for energy and reduce stress.
He would do well in a home with teens who understand basic cat body language and know when to give him space. Archie would enjoy having another friendly, social cat to help him feel more confident and supported. In the shelter he has begun to settle nicely, becoming more curious and seeking gentle attention. Though shy, he can be quite chatty once comfortable and is especially fond of roast chicken.
