Candy loves sitting by a window, where she can peacefully fall asleep under the gentle warmth of the sun. Her serene nature and forgiving spirit are a testament to her vibrant personality. Despite her eyesight allowing her only to see shadows, it doesn’t stop her from enjoying her newfound treasures—simple pleasures like a nap in sunbeams or the comfort of a caring touch.
Though she once braved the world outside alone, Candy's life has been transformed into one filled with love and happiness. She embodies forgiveness and optimism, knowing only the beauty of what surrounds her now. She will be sure to capture your heart with her gentle ways and the abundant love she has to offer. If you are looking to provide a peaceful and loving environment for this delightful senior lady, Candy is ready to fill your home with warmth and affection.
Medical notes
Candy had a major dental procedure in foster care, she had most of her teeth removed and has 2 teeth remaining! This has no impact on her ability to eat.
She has a mature cataract in her right eye (which is blind) with a developing cataract in her left eye - Candy requires eye drops (Acular) for the remainder of her life.
As with most senior dogs Candy does have arthritis.
Adoption details
If you are short listed, you will be contacted within 7-10 working days.
No correspondence will be entered into otherwise. Phone interview will be conducted to assess the suitability of the animal for your tamily. The needs of each individual dog is our priority and we will only proceed if we feel you are a match.
Meet and Greet and fence checks with the dog are arranged at a convenient time for both the foster carer and potential adopter, including introductions to existing animals and all members of the potential home. If there are no issues, the animal is potentially able to stay at the home from this time for a 14 day trial period to ensure the match is compatible. Adoption form is filled in and adoption fee paid (refundable within the trial period). All relevant certificates are provided after the 14 day trial period.
