Buddy

🐾 Hi, I’m Buddy! 🐾

As my name suggests, I’m a very sweet canine companion, and I’m ready to find my forever family.

I’m 5 years old and I believe I’m a Border Collie x Kelpie mix, which means I’m smart, loyal and affectionate.

I love being close to my foster family and will happily follow them wherever they go. When we explore the paddock, I enjoy sniffing around, but when I’m called, I come straight back.

I’ve been around sheep, goats, and horses, and I’m very well behaved. I know commands like sit, shake, and lie down, and while I haven’t had much time on a lead, I’d love some ongoing training.

My foster family is slowly introducing me to the chickens, and I haven’t yet been off-lead around them. I haven't been introduced to cats.

I get along wonderfully with my canine foster brother and respect his space. I’ve also met a few other dogs and have had no trouble being around them.

When my foster family goes out, I have the yard to roam, but usually I just lie in the shade and take a nap. I’m a great sleeper and love a good snooze.

I’m house-trained, but every now and then I like to leave my “signature” in new places. My foster mum and dad say it’s not good manners, and I do feel bad for disappointing them.

I’m a very affectionate boy and can’t wait to find a family where I can give them all my love. I need a home with secure fencing to keep me safe (though I’m not a fence jumper) and humans who have time to include me in their daily lives.
