About Roxy
Meet Roxy 🐾
Roxy is a young Bull Mastiff cross with a big heart and an even bigger love of food! She's friendly, affectionate, and always happy to work for a tasty treat. Her enthusiasm for snacks makes training fun and rewarding, and with a little guidance she's learning polite treat-taking too.
Roxy can be a little shy when she first meets new people or encounters unfamiliar situations, such as vet visits or handling. With patience, calm reassurance, and positive, reward-based training, her confidence continues to grow and she becomes a very loving, tactile companion who enjoys attention from those she trusts.
She's looking for a calm, understanding home with adults or older teenagers who will respect her boundaries and help her feel safe as she settles in. Roxy benefits from gradual introductions to new people, places, and experiences so she can build confidence at her own pace.
Roxy would like to be the only dog in the home and is best suited to a household without livestock, cats, or pocket pets, where she can fully relax and not feel overwhelmed. In the right home, Roxy will reward her adopters with loyalty, affection, and a deep bond built on trust and patience.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
For horse, livestock or poultry enquiries please email horsesandlivestock@rspcavic.org.au
