About Mumma Olay
Mumma Olay
AMK 4826
DOB: TBA
Champion of Champions. Saviour of sanity.
The most maternal Mumma you could ever meet.
Mumma Olay came into care back in August, all the way from Kurrimine Beach, pregnant. On September 5th, she gave birth to her own beautiful babies, Ozzy, Obi and Ollie, and unfortunately two more who passed away. Ozzy is the last kitten left and is still enjoying the company of his Mum, though he is more than ready for his own humans! These boys were HUGE. At just 6 weeks old, they all weighed in at 1KG!
But that just wasn’t enough for this Mumma! Enter orphan babies of all ages over the next few months, coming from all over the Cairns Region, and Mumma promptly told her carer they belonged to her, and there was nothing she could do about it!!
All up, there were 28 babies! No, you don't need to adjust your glasses and it's not a typo. Mumma Olay raised TWENTY-EIGHT KITTENS!!
Though the R's and baby Carol did need to be supplemented with the bottle, as Olay was starting to lose her milk, she still insisted on taking care of them. She cleaned them, loved them, let them nurse, and taught them the ways of the cat world.
Their carer, who would have had to wake up every two hours (day and night) to bottle feed that many kittens, couldn’t have been grateful!
Mumma Olay hasn’t been without kittens since September, so she is only just now showing her own personality outside that of “Mum”. She lives in a house with (a lot) of cats and kittens and hasn’t shown any signs of aggression towards any of them. Her biggest fault is stealing all the kittens and taking them as her own!
She loves a good head scratch, and likes to laze around, which we 100% understand! 28 kids would wear anyone out!
Mumma Olay is looking for a special human who will promise to spoil her endlessly, provide lots of roast chicken, and let her relax and learn how to be herself again outside of Motherhood.
She deserves all of the soft beds, cardboard boxes, fancy food bowls and quality food in the world. She has worked hard over the past several months and has more than earned it! I mean, she might ignore them all, but she still deserves them!
Most Mumma's go through a bit of an awkward "skinny" faze after weaning their babies. Not this lady! She eats (a lot), and it shows! She is currently weighing in at 6.5Kg's, so she is no light weight! All that food has to come out at some point, so her new parents should be aware she will need regular litter tray cleans!
Her adoption fee is $100. This includes all of her vet work through our supporting vet, Redlynch Valley Vets. All of her vet work is complete and up to date
